Breathe on Me
As the dried and rotted leaves
have lain
like rubbish on the cool
ground of winters past
My seed of renewal now awaits
to blossom
Breathe on me Lord.
Bring the warm winds of
refreshment
Cleansing rains for healing
and new life
Laughter to energize my soul
Breathe on me Lord.
Let tender new beginnings now
sprout
From the seeds in the ground
of this death
Arise now and be the sunshine
of my glory
Breathe on me Lord.
My seed of renewal longs to
blossom
Reaching towards the Light
The time of winters past
is over
Breathe on me Lord.
Awake, O north wind; and come,
thou south
Blow upon this grave in my
garden
Where I slumber in this sleep
of death
Breathe on me Lord.
Awake, O north wind; and
come, thou south; blow upon my garden, [that] the spices thereof may
flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant
fruits. Songs 4:16
