“Hidden Treasure”

Did you ever notice

That God has a way

Of hiding things of beauty

In places we rarely stray

~

Look beneath the ocean

Way down to the floor

Exotic fish are swimming

Their colors never seen before

~

Why would our God

Place them so deep

Beneath the ocean surface

So we cannot see

~

Deep inside of you

Are treasures oh so rare

If you could but see them

Would you even dare

~

Look inside your heart

Tell me what you see

Rarely do we go there

I wonder what could be

~

Buried deep within you

Are things you’ve yet to find

Treasures that have been there

For such a long, long time

~

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
