Jesus it is you that wakes me up but don't have to/ never left me alone and kept me near home even if I did wrong/ no one greater/ taught me how to be a man and now I understand why you are the man/ never put more on me then I can bear/ and that's fair cause it lets me know that you care/ gave me two loving parents to talk to when I need help/ you're always there/ I just want to tell you that I love you and I'll never put someone above you/ clothes on my back some people don't have to wear/ food on my plate and enough to share/ lifted me from all pain and helped me through the rain/ you wiped my tears and erased my fears to let me know you are here/ not just for me but to all and will catch you when you fall/ taught me to stand tall and fight for you/ also gave me a love I know is true/ every night I just pray that you wont take me away and let me stay for another day/ so many things I want to say/ for you I cried my first tears of joy when I was just a little boy still playing with toys/ getting the devil out of me/ I'm on GODS level/ Heaven is what I want to be apart of so let me start by putting more of you in my heart/ my truest friend from beginning to the end/ shine your light/ for you I will do right/ thank you for an angel that will keep me aware of danger/ right now I feel you touching my soul/ feeling up an empty hole/ as I lay in my bed and think about everything I just said I start to cry/ asking myself how and why would someone think you are a lie/ take me under your wings so I can fly/ with you I know I will get high/ Thank You Lord Jesus Christ/ I know with you it will be all right/ help me make it through the night/ guided my path and gave me everything I have/ the only one I fear but also keep near/ I just want to say THANK YOU for always being here
