Our Harsh World
Poem by Britta M Riley
Life is a whirlwind sweeping up and down
it makes you feel confusion and despair
when it picks you up and blows you around
you are lost and scared in this crazy snare
but it persists and gives an evil glare
it has no pity for it is life,
it does not ponder whether it is fair
or if it causes you strife
But for what did our world do to earn this harsh way?
What has occurred, what to say!
We can only hope and pray that things will change,
and that things will stop being so deranged.
