Ode to an Orange
I'm bright and orange
Sweet and tangy.
Raised, and carefully cared for
On my mother tree.
I've ripened in the sun
Picked at an exact time
For your utmost satisfaction.
I give a spritzy vibrance
And a tingling taste,
To lighten your min.
Juices dripping, juicy perfection
It may be hard to peel my citrus skin,
But I know you'd prefer me
To an apple.
