A heart in search of love

the child, all alone among adults; looks  for another child;

the child with a heart filled with love; looks  for another one of same kind;

the child with a unadulterated spirit; seeks another one to match

the child all peaceful; eyes for a peaceful mind

the child innocent like a flower;  longs for a pure soul

the child untouched by the world; cries for a true friend

the child finds none; hands empty; he looks, looks inward

the child dreams; dreams more ; indifferent to the world

the child pure as a dew; sees colors of sun in the morning drops

the child flies in the sky with the free birds

the child builds castles of sand at the shores

the child increases in age; he is an adult; the society takes over

the child is suppressed; the dreams bite the dust

the free spirit tied to the worldly chores

the colors vanish on the canvas of bitterness

the overgrown child still dreams when the eyes are not damp;

he still longs for someone who can give him wings

the child  sobs in the adult world longing for that day, when he can fly again
