| Next | Back | Home | Fiction | Non-Fiction | Poems | Book Excerpts | A heart in search of love the child, all alone among adults; looks for another child; the child with a heart filled with love; looks for another one of same kind; the child with a unadulterated spirit; seeks another one to match the child all peaceful; eyes for a peaceful mind the child innocent like a flower; longs for a pure soul the child untouched by the world; cries for a true friend the child finds none; hands empty; he looks, looks inward the child dreams; dreams more ; indifferent to the world the child pure as a dew; sees colors of sun in the morning drops the child flies in the sky with the free birds the child builds castles of sand at the shores the child increases in age; he is an adult; the society takes over the child is suppressed; the dreams bite the dust the free spirit tied to the worldly chores the colors vanish on the canvas of bitterness the overgrown child still dreams when the eyes are not damp; he still longs for someone who can give him wings the child sobs in the adult world longing for that day, when he can fly again
