MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL
Poem by Aino Hyyryläinen

Mirror mirror on the wall
Inside pretty tears fall
Plain pain on the last hour
Walk the shores when it used to rain

A sigh and she flies away from the angel
that stands in the waves of this land
Take her spirit, take my hand
Blow the candle, I understand

Mirror mirror in my dreams
Is life as pretty as it seems?
Any day, castaway
Offer life on a silver tray

Mirror mirror friendly face
Lie behind the night and lace
Bring back what she meant to me
Everything I believe

Mirror mirror, fake a smile
Push the fantasies aside
Teach me how it should be
Hush up the true essence of me.
