Rain

The key holder of life

pure, cleansing liquid from above

slowly drifting down abandoned streets

rejuvenating life as it touches

souls that thirst for the

forgotten promise of tomorrow

deep layers dwindle out

heavy healers trickle upon

silent sufferers of the night

drowning away sorrows

feeling of floating settles within

bodies of many

rejuvenated by a substance

whose power amazes many

and yet bewilders few

power to portray

God’s love, with

a promise deeper than

any ocean known to man

dew drops form, until at last…

a rainbow appears
