An Utterly Delightful Story
On This Halloween
A Sweet Little Jersey, name of Jenny the Cow,
Gave birth to a calf, who's a blessing, and how!
Every night she stops by for the stories she hears,
That a Sweet Little Mother tells her children, so dear.
After the stories she goes back to the barn,
And dreams happy dreams on that sweet little farm.
Thou, one night she heard a story; in the still of the night,
Of Winds and Cold Chills and a few words of Fright!
Then suddenly she felt a cold chill on her back,
With those feelings of bravery, she often does lack.
The Winds picked up so quickly as things started to creak,
Including her bones which were shaking and weak.
As the story continued, "Who then came into view?",
When behind Jenny's back she heard the words, "Whoo, Whoo!"
She jumped and she kicked through this and through that,
Knocking things down, including a cat.
Pots and pans were a flying from here and from there,
Clinking and clanking, and oh, what a scare!
When who should the calf see in utter delight,
"Oh, Thank You Dear Mother, It's Whip Cream Tonight!"
