The Price Of Integrity Is High
Dedicated, Loyal, Loving, and True
You'll never find another pure completely through
With every heartbeat beats selflessness
Our lives without him leaves emptiness
How he cared for One and All Tirelessly
In his veins ran Honesty
The one who wouldn't tolerate corruption
Tried to clean up the city pollution
He's let no injustice go unjustified
He worked to right the wrongs til the day he died.

In Appreciation for all the good you've done
With Loving memories of Kirwan Heisner

BERRY BLACK

By Justina Jase

To Ziad with much love

Gleaming beauty of the night
Wild d black hors e will give a fright

Stardust hair and honey eye

Kissed by warm September rye

Flying past through homeland pastures
Untamed spirit no man captures
Racing with the wind but faster
Berry noir horse gleams with laughter.

Playing entertainer to the breeze till dark
Racing gloriously to the finish mark
By the dusk exuberance expire
Deeming all the horses to retire.

Starry skies whisper lullabies
To subdue the lonely horses cries
Clouds bear gold on pathway height
Through the seldom horse’s night.

Moon greets sun the focal feature
That which nurtures heaven’s creature
Rays of shimmer kiss the horse
Early morning takes its course.

Freedom newborn of the wild
Berry Beauty is a child
Kissed by sun and bathed by rain.
Innocent oblivion can’t see the world in pain.

Through my eyes
Poem by Imraan Sonday

You see a tree
I see my ancestors

You see a desert
I see sand in communion

you see a woman
I see my shadow

You see the moon
I see my steer

You see your parents
I see my wellspring

You read of God
i read of my architect
For i am the design of His architecture

You see a book
I see a fountain

You see an infant
I see magik

you feel love
i feel closer to heaven

you feel your heartbeat
i hear my violen

you cry tears
i quench my sorrows

you see your love
i see the petals of my naked rose

you hear of Muhammed (p.b.u.h)
i hear of Allah's hand

you yearn for answers
i await my questions partner

you see life
i see opportunity

you feel your skin
i feel my souls vessel

you see a number
but the merchant see's riches

you obey your judgment
i dance to my hearts song

you write
i decode my rhythm

There is an eye in my heart
and a voice in  my pen
will they ever see?
i don't know when!
