Sleepless Nights

Poem by D. K.

Trying to fall asleep
But too worried to close your eyes
Trying to think of something
Something you cant describe

Trying to figure out
What in the world to do
About all your daily troubles
Even if there are only a few

But constantly on your mind
That returns to you each time
Is that one special person
And not knowing if your mine

Troubles all around you
You cannot sleep at all
Maybe you should stop worrying
And hear the dreamers call

For tomorrow will be another day
Where new worries will arise
And old ones will be forgotten
And soon this day too will die

So try to sleep now peacefully
Knowing nothing but this
Tomorrow is another day
And you may just get your wish.

Have you seen me?

Poem by Theresa Gilbert

I'm lost with in myself. Missing parts still not
found. Looking, seeking deep inside there still missing. where did they go?
Who took them? Will I ever find them? Hoping, praying, longing for there
return. Life a gift given only once but often not lived at all. My life is
empty drained of all its worth. Is my life missing or am I missing from my
life Happy but lonely, alive but dead, lost but found, hoping but afraid,
loving but hurt. How can it be there are two people living in side me?
