An overVIEW of Bosphorus

Poem by Mahir Yasar

Amid the hawling dogs, ear-catching ships and nasty carbages

I tried hard to feel the smell of the sausages

‘cuz I was fed up with the unworldly things oh dear

“Shall I compare thee to a summer day” screams Shakespeare

Nature caught me and tied my feelings hard

I dreamed of Africa, the lovely and heavenly yard

Oh my Lord ,why these creatures are so blind

To see the beauties and plusses

Or has it been ages since they last cried

Or just do not wanna enter my classes

Oh birds, flies and ants

My dear friends living in the carbage can

I close my eyes not to see your ends

‘cos I haven’t been a strong man

to fight among the dirty hands

Oh dear butterfly you wanna be my fan

Or just try to feel my sense

I will fly over the sea one day

If I see such things in May

There appeared a powerful thing in front of me

Said she has lost the key

“Do not worry about it” I said, Lets have fun

I promise I will definitely turn to you like this flower leaning towards the sun
