DREAMS

Sharon Lynn Coverdale

Two lost young petal
Wondering souls
You see the dreams I seek.
I see the dreams you seek.
Lets follow each other.
Our dreams are coming, for you and me.
Will you return by my side?
I will return by your side, my dear.
With your heart in my hand, and my heart in your hand.
It's like a bright fire dancing.
To the slow music turning. Our hearts is smooth as ivory.
Has turned to lonely, sulfur.
We retired our hearts to each other.
Lets love one another, because I know our hearts were
meant to be for each other

Cards

Poetry by Joseph Simmons

Why did you throw
away the cards you needed?
Why did you go
with the one who cheated?
Is it just a game
you play with your life?
Your goodbye words
cut through me like a knife!

I spent a long, long time
looking for you,
thought I'd finally found happiness
in my life.
But then he came along
and stole you with a song,
though I begged you to return
and be my wife.

Now I sit at home
looking out the window,
thinking of the way things
used to be.
I wonder what I'd done
or what I forgot to do,
and why you went with him
instead of me.

This house is not so old,
but it's still lonely.
It misses your sweet voice,
your lovely laugh.
Somehow I will hold on
each night until the dawn,
hoping that someday
I'll find someone.
