Something touched my heart today,
it touched me deep inside,
it wasn't something someone said to me,
it wasn't something lied

it was the way that my love looked at me,
the way his eyes where there,
it showed me how he really felt,
it showed me that he really cared

not a word was said to me from him,
only that gentle look,
and to lift up my spirits for another day,
that's all it ever took

For a moment i had my doubts,
and i thought this was all wrong,
but i just think about what we've done together,
and how we've been together for so long

So now i remind myself,
just how lucky i really am,
just to find this love of mine,
to find this perfect man.

People wander the deserts,
in search of their home,
it's a place where they are happy,
where they are never there alone

People dream about the perfect life,
and wonder how it would be,
but if life was so perfect,
wouldn't we want something else to see

Yet has anyone ever stopped,
to make it all seem clear,
that their home isn't far away,
it is right here.
