The Elements of Life
Poetry by Victoria J Millar
Life is a gift, bestowed upon all creatures . . .
Given to the very earth itself,
Allowing evolution to carry it through time,
And so permitting life in everything.
No longer to be a cold and empty planet,
But a land full of energy and vitality,
But a home to all creatures, great and small.
Time is a blessing, given by life;
Limited for all but, evidently cherished.
Time sanctions every step of expansion on the
planet,
Every development in evolution,
And every circumstance in the existence of life
on earth.
It is the sole constituent of all occurrences,
For without time, life would have no boundaries;
Evolution would have no direction,
And there would be no ambition for the earth.
Fate is inevitable for everything which time
creates.
It is a path which all life must follow,
An unknown direction that leads either to
progress and prosperity,
Or to the lowest place in the heart of life.
Birth, growth, and death,
All controlled by the same element.
Love is supremacy for all life on earth.
It is the consummation of the mind,
Fulfillment
of the heart, and completion of the
soul.
It is the ultimate goal for everything;
The key to survival, and the guide to the
endurance of all the elements.
Without love, there would be nothing.
It is the greatest achievement in the history of
evolution,
And will be so for the eternity of time.
It can live as our worst enemy,
But in the end, with patience, effort and hope,
It will strive to become our best friend.
Love is the absolute beginning and end.
Love is beauty, joy, and contentment.
Love is our light - love is perfection . . .
Love is life for us all.
