SALVATION

By: Ryan Wallenberg

Within my heavy heart there lies a pain.

A lasting throe that cleans my crime and sin,

Somber I walk with passion wrapped in shame;

New hope from Abba, will soon rise again.

Hard times shall come and push my hope asunder.

How can it be when standing with my God?

The devil lurks observing every blunder

The sins of shame, my prayers will take abroad.

The gift of grace, which is pure white as driven snow;

Renews my life and will enrich my soul.

I’m living life with God, in him I’ll grow.

He’ll take me empty, filling life brim full.

A gift from God, let voices reach the sky.

A praise to God, his name I lift on high!

               Dancing in the Night
                      by Anna Mwaba

The ghouls come out for the night
and O how they cause a fright.
Their bony arms growing
As they continue reaching
towards the sky
as the clouds drift by
to expose the silvery midnight moon
shining, warning that something will happen soon.
They continue waving and dancing,
to a tune that they only seem to be hearing
the sun starts to wake
and earth starts to shake.
Any trace of them is hard to make
but their faces are hard to shake
