           A Midnite Philosophy Lesson

                                              Non-fiction by Zoheb Khan

What is life? What is destiny? What is life without destiny? It is not life. Life without destiny is no life at all.

Serendipity, making pleasant discoveries by accident. Is that what life is? Is everything just a great big accident, or is it guided by a greater power? Is everything we do predestined? The next step you take, the next choice you make, the next life you save, the next life you take, is it all preordained?

What is life? Is it just a series of random events put together to guide us through from the womb to the grave? Its very easy to think so. Its very easy and simple to say for instance, 'I had a decision to make and I made it', or 'I wanted to do this, so I did it' .After all doesn’t everyone want to be in control of his/her life.

However, how do we then go on to explain coincidence? Just another random series of events which happen to occur at the same time at the same place? Or is it a sign that everything happens for a reason. Whatever happens, happens b\c its supposed to.

I happen to believe that. It may sound clichéd but I happen to believe that everything I do, more importantly, everything that happens to me, is just another cog on the wheel of my life. I might fail in an exam tomorrow. I might fall in love with someone with whom it could never work out. But I know that its just another step, and therefore i can then move on with my life and look forward to bigger and better things.

If something is meant to happen, it will. if it doesn’t, it doesn’t. That's all there is to it. Serendipity, therefore, I believe, is not the making of pleasant discoveries by accident, rather, it is the making of pleasant discoveries by fate.

Philosophy inspires us to believe that everything that happens is all part of a master plan.

The master plan of life.
