Roger Lacroix's Chess Memories

My name is Roger Lacroix and back in my college days and for a few years after, I played a lot of Chess.  I played in the Maine Chess League, a lot of tournaments all around New England, and I even played in a chess match, The USA vs. Canada to commemorate the USA bicentennial.

Unfortunately for my chess career, I moved to a rural area where there is not any high level chess being played.  I have not played serious chess for 20 years.  However, I still have some great memories of those long ago days.  Here are my greatest Chess Memories!

Games:  I have enclosed three of my most memorable games.  Please play the games over and let me know what you think of them.

Newspaper Clippings:  Here are excerpts from three of my favorite newspaper articles that mention my name.

Story: Here is a true story that I wrote about some of the people that you might encounter at a chess tournament and some of the fun that chess players can have when they get together.

Pictures: Here are some pictures of chess players that have special meaning to me.
